I’ve never had a cat but this is exactly why I don’t understand people who like cats.
I assume you are a dog person. Think of it this way: dog shits and pisses everywhere and often, even when trained, have accidents in the house. You still love them in spite that infuriating trait no? Its the same with cat lovers and the fact cats constantly knock shit over.
I wouldn’t really say a grown-up dog has those problems at all.
Actually, it’s just a (comical) stereotype of cat behavior, as is Raph’s comment about dogs. I have six cats but very little destruction of property takes place around here. 🙂
The eye contact thing is on point though. My cat stares me in the eye as he slowly nudges something off the table.
Trained adult dogs don’t really have those issues. The only time my doge has ever gone in my house as an adult was when nobody was home 8am to 6pm and she’d eaten something that made her sick. My dog is also one of the most stereotypical breeds for chewing on things and destroying furniture (black lab). She left a few teeth marks in the table leg when she was only a few months old, hasn’t touched a thing since.
I also have a cat, and I’m convinced all cats are naturally assholes and seldom few break out of those norms. lol He’s completely blind yet still manages to be in the least convenient spot at the least convenient moment and thinks he’s royalty and us mere peasants
Yeah, I’d say this about covers it, though we only have one cat that actively knocks things over, the little shit. XD
The worst my cat does is bite or grab you with her mouth when she’s hungry. Or happy, comfortable or pissed. But no blood.
It’s a Morton’s Fork
Of the cats knocking over
The items they want.
This is SOOOOOO typical of cats (being a cat person). And I love how EVERY species we love has traits like this. Example, being a horse person myself our equine friends have the endearing habits of: step on human’s foot, untie oneself and wander off, escape the paddock, and the ever classy roll in mud immediately after bath. 🙂
