Telling Toys
Today’s ChaosLife is a bit of story-time from K! As some of you may already know, this story is completely true and more than a little mortifying to me at the time of its occurrence. Nothing speeds along the getting-to-know-you phase of building your relationship with your in-laws like a mutual vested interest in healthy sex habits. Still, K’s mom really is a saint and a great friend, so I hope she appreciates this little Mother’s Day wink!
Hahahah, that’s so embarrassing! But so cute. When she said like “Toys” I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO but yes hAHAHAHAHHA I imagine A’s face while she was listening to the conversation. Oh, my. Awesome story.
“That one does have a cute bunny face doesn’t it?”….best mom of the year award right there xD
Hahahahah — while I do my best to avoid accidental (or deliberate!) poking into my daughter’s things, I have to admit that I totally would have made the cute-bunny-face comment, were I confronted with the evidence ๐
K, I’m really glad that your Mom was cool about it!
Heh — timely reading, from someone who didn’t have quite such a good experience — there are some stories like yours in the comments.

Hahahaha this rules. Somehow I find it very touching.
I wish I had a mom like that, but in fact she’s pretty rude about private stuff, and intrusive, to the point where I had to cut contact with her for my own sanity.
So please savor what you have while it lasts! I’m happy for you guys ๐
Jesus Christ, my drink came out my nose.
Pretty sure my wife will be the same mom once our oldest moves out.
I have died. I am dead of laughing.
I cannot be the only one amused by the idea of calling her mom ‘a saint’, right after describing how she cleaned all those sex toys for her lesbian daughter.
In all seriousness, bravo for having such an understanding relative. I’d praise them all, but I’ve only heard about the one so far. ๐
Whoa. ๐ฎ Yay for everything turning out well ๐
Your mom sounds a lot like mine, K. Loving and understanding to the point of embarrassment, but still quite awesome
