We’ve been doing it wrong.
I could not have made this up even better — LITERALLY, as I finished reading this and called out to my family to pull it up on their screens and giggle . . .
. . . Bastian, my cat who looks a lot like Peter, leaned in and bit me on the shoulder blade.
(Through my shirt, thankfully — I went to the pool today, and he’s fascinated by the smell of chlorine in my hair.)
But, yes. Biting. Friends. Something. Lesson obviously learned by cat 😉
I love how Jiji looks adorable until he goes psycho. (Then he’s still kind of adorable. An adorable psycho.)
My cat’s chewed some of my hair off, BECAUSE OF LOVE.
Well… Sometimes you do. Long story.
You bite me, I bite you back! Well not exactly bite but I get about a week and a half bite free when I fit my cats head or leg in my mouth. Yeah you see that, you only got a little of me in your mouth, I can fit your limbs in mine! Oh don’t be like that, here let me put your favorite laying on towel in the dryer.
HAHAHAHA, I do the same thing with the cats of the household when they bite.
My cat just shows affection with her claws. You know she’s happy when she purrs and sinks all her claws into your body.
I think Peter smelled of cheezburger and Jiji can has?
There most certainly is a thin line between love and hate, especially with cats.
Good old “pet-pet-pet-pet-pet..*purrpurrpurrpurr*” and then out of the blue, kitty brain short circuits and a flurry of claws and sharp teeth come your way. 🙂
this just reminds me of a quote, “Biting’s excellent. It’s like kissing. Only there’s a winner.” – Idris
I love you for quoting Doctor Who <3
Reminds me of my Swee’ Pea and Sammy. Pea is the tiny cat with an attitude and claws to match. She will run after/attack anything – and I mean anything! Vacuum cleaner? Yep. Various tools? Yep. Other cats? Yep. Enormous wandering dogs? Yep. (She got out accidentally but we caught her and the dog’s mom caught him before there was any blood. He was terrified. Poor rotty.)
… LOL, it took me a few moments to register the white bit at Jiji’s muzzle as the sole of A’s shoe…I thought Jiji’d turned into a sabertoothed cat at first.
the only time one of my cats bites me is when im sad. I was crying so much i ddin’t pay attention to her. next thing i know she’s behind m and there is a sharp pain on my ear. That got my attention! lol. Feeling the love. 🙂
Friends? No. Minions… Maybe…?
I adore that the potato can sniff with a question mark.
I keep thinking Jiji has sabertooth tiger teeth in the last panel, but it’s just the white line at the bottom of A’s shoe.
But biting really is no way to make friends, Jiji! Trust me, I’ve tried. :/
Poor potato Peter!
